The Brave - There was a time where almost every suburb had a venue for all age shows. There was a time that there were high quality shows on every month. Then things started to change. Now, venues are more concerned with how much patrons will pay for alcohol to help support their venue, rather than how many patrons are having a good time to support the music scene. The all age market was just not viable for their venue, and so, it seemingly died.

There was however one place that had always ran all age shows from a Youth Centre in Browns Plains; The Spot Community Services. housing up to 50 to 60 patrons at a time was a great for the small venue for a small amount of time. But with the recent departure of many all age venues, the need for a new venue was quickly realized.

The passion to help a venue where the patrons themselves could help run and be a part of, from past students of The Spot, staff members to volunteers was incredible and a team of people ready to get The Brave up and running was conceived.

Birthing the new venue  was a huge success, seeing the one of the highest numbers of patrons to grace the venue on the opening night. Numerous people commenting on how brilliant it was to have a an affordable venue to come to. Dozens of patrons asking how they could become part of the team already making The Brave bigger and better.

INFORMATION ON RULES
With a venue virtually free of monetary commitments, The Brave is free to offer a drug and alcohol free, all age venue to the Logan West area that takes on volunteers and pay bands the full door charge of the night. An act not heard of on the scene for a long long time.

When we say drug and alcohol free, we mean that this is a non-license venue, so no alcohol is to be consumed on the premises, which includes the car park. Any band members or patrons who are seen consuming alcohol or who smell of alcohol will be prohibited from performing on the day/night and the band or patron will be excluded from any and all future shows at The Brave.

We also take a strong stand on fight dancing and we do not tolerate bands inciting such acts with the patrons. To help prevent this we do NOT book hard core acts and the fact that The Spot's Community Services insurance can not cover any injuries incurred by people taking part in this action.

NOTE FOR PARENTS
All shows start at 6:30pm
All shows end at 9:30pm
Any volunteers involved with set up and pack down will be finished by 10pm.

We are proud of our venue, we are proud of our patrons, and we hope they are proud, of what we have all achieved.

A new all ages venue is here... .................................are YOU one of The Brave?
