Spot on Homes Late in 2006 The Spot Community Services ltd had a dream, a dream to build a house and auction for the purpose of raising funds for homeless young people and as a means of gerenal fundrasing. This dream was quickly realised with successful contruction and sale of the House of Hope in July 2008. With this success achieved through the House of Hope project, planning began to continue with this dream and continue to build consecuive Houses of Hope. In order to do this efficiently and effectively The Spot Community Services ltd set up a separate company and is the sole shareholder of it's own registered building company. Spot on Homes is a social enterprise business set up under The Spot (Qld) Pty Ltd.
Spot on Homes has been set up with two purposes in mind; - To raise funds through operating a successful building company that can then contribute financially to the running of The Spot Community Services and to enable special projects such as building the House of Hope which will serve as a half way house for homeless young people. - To provide an environment for hands on exposure to, and experience in the building industry for the young people enrolled in our Get Set For Work programs.
